2026 Plan Year Benefits

📢 Important Network Update: BCBSTX & Memorial Hermann

We want to share an important update regarding the contract negotiations between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) and Memorial Hermann.

An agreement was not reached, and as a result, the contracts between BCBSTX and Memorial Hermann expired effective April 1, 2026. Memorial Hermann hospitals and providers are no longer in‑network with BCBSTX medical plans as of that date.

Please know that this outcome was outside of the District’s control. We have actively communicated with both BCBSTX and Memorial Hermann and strongly encouraged a resolution in an effort to minimize disruption to our employees.

Continuity of Care (COC) – Action May Be Required

As we prepare for multiple possible outcomes, it is important that you have access to the BCBSTX Continuity of Care (COC) / Transition of Care Form:

  • Must be submitted via fax or mail

We strongly encourage timely submission, especially for situations such as:

  • Pregnancy

  • Transplant services

  • Surgeries already scheduled for early April

Please review and submit the form as soon as possible to allow BCBSTX adequate time for review and determination.
