The Alief ISD Board of Trustees officially approved the 2025β2026 school year compensation plan during the June 17th Board of Trustees meeting. This decision underscores our ongoing commitment to recognize and reward the outstanding dedication of our district's employees.
Highlights of the Approved Plan
General Compensation Adjustment
Building on the previously announced 3% increase on the midpoint of the pay grade, the Board of Trustees has approved additional compensation enhancements beyond those required by House Bill 2 as follows:
Teacher and Staff Retention Allotment
Teachers and staff in paygrades P1T, P1Other, P1L (librarians), and P1N (nurses) will receive a Teacher Retention Allotment (TRA) or Staff Retention Allotment (SRA) based on completed years of experience:
β’ $5,000 β 5 or more years of experience
β’ $2,500 β 3 to 4 years of experience
β’ $2,400 β 0 to 2 years of experience
This results in a total raise ranging from 7.66% to 12.11% on the midpoint and brings our starting teacher salary to $66,500.
All Other Eligible Employees
Employees not in the pay grades mentioned above will receive an additional 3.5% increase on the midpoint, resulting in a total raise of 6.5% above the 2024β2025 compensation plan. Substitutes are not eligible for the compensation increase.
We are grateful for your work and the positive impact you make each day. If you have any questions regarding the new compensation plan, please contact the Human Resources department.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our students, families, and community, and we thank our outstanding Board of Trustees for their ongoing support of the districtβs compensation efforts.
