Thursday, March 28th, 2024, Alief goes Red for UH Cougar Day to celebrate our University of Houston Cougars advancing to the Sweet Sixteen. Students and staff can show their UH pride and wear jeans. Film Fest 2024 The 11th Annual Alief District Filmfest will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at the Alief Center for Advanced Careers. 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The event is free. Alief ISD Literacy MENtors Interest Form Alief ISD Literacy MENtors is a reading initiative to increase children’s success in school through read-aloud experiences with caring volunteers while at the same time encouraging male involvement in our schools. Through this initiative, male reading volunteers commit one hour, once per month, to read a book to a class of third-grade students.

Monday, February 19th is a student holiday. Alief ISD schools will be closed on President's Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 20. Central Offices will still be open.
