Hello Hicks Tigers,
For those who are new to the Hicks community, I would like to share a little about myself. I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and raised right here in Alief, Texas. As a proud Alief alumna, I began my educational career as a bilingual first-grade teacher at Hicks Elementary. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving our students and families in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, Math Recovery teacher, and Science & Technology Specialist. I later served as Assistant Principal at Bush Elementary before returning to Hicks as principal.
We are excited to welcome our Hicks Tigers to our learning community! At Hicks Elementary, we are committed to providing an exemplary and equitable education for every student in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn every day. We strive to create meaningful and memorable experiences that foster academic growth, character development, and a lifelong love of learning.
