Hello Hicks Tigers,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
I hope you all have enjoyed a restful and joyful summer! As we prepare to welcome students back, I’m excited to share that we are gearing up for a fantastic new school year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
For those who are new to Hicks, I would like to share a little bit about myself. I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and raised right here in Alief, Texas. I am a proud Alief Alum who returned to Alief to start my teaching career as a bilingual first-grade teacher right here at Hicks Elementary. During my years at Hicks, I served as a classroom teacher, a Math Recovery teacher, and as the Science & Technology Specialist. I later served as an Assistant Principal at Bush Elementary before returning home to Hicks to serve as principal.
We are excited to welcome our Hicks Tigers back to school. Our team has been busy planning engaging lessons and activities to inspire and support every child. We cannot wait to see our students’ bright smiles and eager minds!
