Celebrating Varsity Success at the Sheila Lofton Relays

Our varsity track and field athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the Sheila Lofton Relays, showcasing preparation, competitiveness, and momentum as they gear up for the district track meet. Serving as a District Preview / Last Chance Meet, this event provided a valuable opportunity to fine-tune performances and evaluate progress against strong competitionβ€”and our team rose to the challenge.

The highlights were impressive across multiple events. Jamar Bremberry earned Event Champion honors in the Long Jump with a mark of 23-6, while Gaius Shakes placed 2nd in the High Jump clearing 6-4. The Girls 4Γ—400 Relay captured a strong 3rd place finish with a time of 4:07.71, and the Girls 4Γ—200 Relay earned 2nd place with a time of 1:43.71.

Beyond podium finishes, several athletes achieved personal bests and varsity best performances, reflecting steady growth and commitment to excellence. The meet also produced season-best relay performances for both boys’ and girls’ relay teams, highlighting depth, teamwork, and consistency.

Overall, the Sheila Lofton Relays demonstrated the program’s trajectory and competitive readiness. We are proud of the hard work, resilience, and determination shown by our athletesβ€”and excited for what lies ahead.
