math challenge

Our students had a wonderful time participating in the HCC Math Challenge, and we could not be more proud of their efforts and accomplishments. This exciting academic event brought together students from across Houston Community College, and the competition was open to all HCC students currently enrolled in a math course. It provided participants with an excellent opportunity to test their problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and perseverance in a challenging yet supportive environment.

Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated focus, determination, and a positive attitude. They approached each problem with confidence and curiosity, representing our program with professionalism and pride. Their commitment to learning and willingness to step outside their comfort zones exemplify the type of academic engagement we strive to foster.

We are especially proud to recognize two students for their outstanding performance. Yessenia Paramo earned an impressive 6th place, and Daniel Velasquez achieved an outstanding 3rd place finish among a strong field of competitors. Their success reflects not only their individual dedication and hard work, but also the support and instruction they receive in their coursework.

Congratulations to all who participated in the HCC Math Challenge. We are proud of our students and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success in the future.
