We are incredibly proud to celebrate two of our outstanding Elsik High School scholars, Zainab and Naifisat, for earning the remarkable opportunity to attend the National Young Enterprising Women (YEW) Conference in Washington, D.C. this April! This prestigious honor reflects their hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Being selected for such an elite national program is no small feat, and these two scholars have demonstrated exactly the kind of drive, vision, and leadership that the Young Enterprising Women Foundation seeks to uplift and empower. Their achievements remind all of us that when students believe in their abilities and push themselves beyond their comfort zones, extraordinary doors begin to open.
The YEW Conference brings together top‑performing young women from around the country who have shown potential in leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, STEM fields, and community impact. During this multi‑day experience in Washington, D.C., participants will meet with inspiring women executives, successful entrepreneurs, and national leaders who are shaping industries and opening pathways for the next generation. Zainab and Naifisat will attend workshops, leadership sessions, hands‑on learning experiences, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen their confidence and amplify their voices. This conference empowers students to envision bold futures while developing the professional skills needed to bring those visions to life. It is exciting to know that our scholars will be learning, connecting, and representing Alief ISD on such an influential stage.
