As a lifelong advocate for young women, I know how sacred the decision is to choose a school for your daughter. You are not simply selecting a building or a program — you are choosing the people who will shape her future, the voices that will echo in her heart when challenges arise, and the hands that will steady her as she reaches for something greater.

As the Founding Principal of The Young Women’s Leadership School (TYWLS) of Alief ISD, I am honored and humbled to lead a community built on excellence, innovation, and empowerment. For over two decades, I have served in some of Texas’s most dynamic and diverse school systems, including leading a nationally ranked all-girls school where every student graduated and many became the first in their family to step onto a college campus.

This school is not being built by chance — it is being built with design and intention. Guided by the three pillars of Responsible Leadership, College Preparedness, and Health & Wellness, and with the support of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network (YWPN), we will join a proven network of success.

Every girl deserves a place where her voice is heard, her intellect is challenged, and her leadership is nurtured. Research shows that girls in all-girls schools are more likely to speak up in class, take academic risks, and aspire to careers in fields where women have been historically underrepresented.

At TYWLS Alief, we promise to educate, uplift, and excel. Our 6–12 continuum is designed to ensure 100% of our students graduate high school and are accepted into four-year colleges and universities. More importantly, we prepare them with the skills, mindset, and support systems to thrive in college — and beyond.
