The New Year brings an opportunity for us to reimage or restart ourselves again with new goals, new ideas, and new commitments. The middle of the school year is also a good time to support and model the process of reflection for your child. Will your child end the year reading on level? Has your child memorized all of the multiplication tables? Does your child have a process for resolving conflict that demonstrates integrity and concern for others? Take some time this month to talk to your child about how he or she is performing in school and how things are going at home. The best way to ensure that goals become reality is to share them with others. Making goals public supports our commitment to action. My wish for all of our Liestman families is a New Year full of good health, many happy moments, and much prosperity. May you reach all your goals in 2018!
