Welcome to the Professional Development Web Page
Due to the school closure for the rest of the 2019-20 school year, all professional development sessions have been canceled through that time period. Thank you for your laser focus on creating engaging virtual instruction for all your students. Currently no district-credit professional development sessions are available and we are not offering district credit for any out-of-district learning opportunities right now. So, for now, just keep focused on the main thing. There will be plenty of learning opportunities for everyone once the school year is complete.
When we know more clearly how the summer and next school year will be structured we will provide professional development information. Thank you for your patience and for taking such good care of your students and staff.

There have been some changes to Eduphoria recently. To register for Professional Development sessions select Strive after you log in and then select Available Courses. You can sort by date or alpha by course title. You can also search by Categories which is below the Credits search area, or you can close the Credits search area. Categories are only available if there is a course attached to that specific Category. Below is a link to a document with more detailed instructions and screen shots to help you navigate the new look of the system.
PurposeThe goal of the Professional Development Department is to increase student achievement by providing a rich variety of brain-friendly learning resources for all Alief staff members. Teachers who know more have students who know more. A big part of a teacher's job is to continuously learn and become an even better teacher for even more students.
