Mrs. Kim Rogers

My name is Mrs. Rogers, I have over a decade of experience teaching art here in Alief ISD. I have a BA in Fine Arts and Social Science with a Minor in Art History. I am certified to teach EC-12th grade and I am currently working at Martin Elementary as their Art Educator.

Our art program is built around the idea that Fine Arts Education creates well rounded individuals. I believe it is important for students to make connections between self and community and through art they can express their thoughts and ideas. Our face to face art program here at Martin consists of drawing, painting, print making, sculpture, mixed media, collage and glass fusion. Our virtual art program consists of zoom live lessons, drawing, painting, environmental art, collage and mixed media art.

Welcome Musicians!

I believe music has the power to transform, inspire, and uplift. With over 15 years of musical training and performance experience, I know firsthand how continued involvement with the arts can add joy and richness to life. As a music educator it is my honor to instill a lifelong love of music, performance, and creativity in the hearts of all my students.

Everyone is a musician! It is my job to find out what element of music speaks most to your soul and help you find even more opportunities to foster that passion. As you prepare to leave elementary school, we will discuss the many avenues available to you to continue your music scholarship and appreciation. Every student that enters my classroom will leave with the tools necessary to continue through life as an enthusiastic, informed, and inquisitive patron of music and the performing arts. I can’t wait to join you on your musical journey!
