David Ajin - Director of Band

Mr. Ajin has been teaching in Alief ISD for over 5 years. In addition, Mr. Ajin has also served in the following capacity for nearly 20 years: assistant and head music director in various organizations and institutions in the greater Houston area where his duties included teaching individuals to play an instrument, conducting, and managing large music group ensembles. Furthermore, Mr. Ajin maintains an active private music studio and performs professionally in the greater Houston area. Lastly, Mr. Ajin is deeply passionate about instilling an appreciation for music in all students and helping students achieve excellence through music.

Pamela Mesecher

Mrs. Mesecher has been teaching Music for 34 years. Mrs. Mesecher has served on staff for several churches as Choir Director and as Church Pianist. She also maintains a private studio at her home for voice and piano students. Mrs. Mesecher incorporates piano lessons into her choir classes at Mata Intermediate to give her students a well-rounded musical experience. She loves teaching children and sharing with them her love and knowledge of music.

Deborah Graham - Orchestra Director

Mrs. Graham has been teaching at Mata Intermediate School in Alief for 9 years. She has been a certified teacher for 33 years. Erin Maxey - Theatre Arts Director

Ms. Maxey has been teaching Theatre Arts at Mata Intermediate for 4 years and has two children of her own. Ms. Maxey enjoys visiting the theater and spending time with family.

Alicia Molina

  • Mrs. Molina has been teaching for 16 years in Alief ISD. Prior to becoming a teacher she graduated from Architecture school and worked as an architect for 11 years in her native Panama City, Panama.  Along the years Mrs. Molina has served as Team leader, Thinking Maps instructor and several committees as well as a member of TAEA (Texas Art Education Association).  Mrs. Molina participates with her students in several contests every year including: Rodeo Art Show (3 finalists), TEAM (3 Best of TEAM) and JrVASE.  She enjoys traveling, painting, reading, spending time outdoors, volunteering at Church and spending time with her family and friends.
