Teaching Orchestra is my Superpower. My students are my motivation for teaching for the past 35 years.  I love teaching beginning students how to play the violin, viola, cello and bass. And then watch their talent mature through high school and then college.  My students perform 2 major concerts a year and compete in many local festivals. I have a Bachelors of Instrumental Music from the University of New Orleans.

Mrs. Tiffany Kowalski

Hello Parents and Young Artists!

I’m Mrs. Kowalski and I have been teaching art for over 5 years, however I have worked with children since I was a senior in high school. I grew up in Alief and attended Youens Elementary, Alief Middle, and Elsik High School. In addition to being an art teacher I am also a professional photographer and artist.

As an artist, I recognized how important it was to allow students to have creative control over what they create. This realization led me to start teaching choice based art classes. I teach the TAB method or Teaching for Artistic Behavior. In this type of class students learn how to THINK like an artist. Students take control of their learning by choosing their own art projects and they are given the opportunity to experiment with a variety of art media and styles. Each week I teach them the The Elements of Art and The Principles of Design. However, when it comes down to what my students create, it's completely their choice!
