• ENGINEERING is HOT at Houston Community College!

Houston is one of the largest employers of engineers in the world.  It is a leader in petroleum, chemical, mechanical, civil, electrical, biomedical, aerospace and ocean engineering disciplines.  With the increased demand for engineers, Houston Community College has developed a number of programs and partnerships to meet the need.

Goal:  Provide affordable, convenient, and supportive pathways to enable students to successfully complete the first two years of an engineering degree. In 2012, 48 HCC students enrolled as declared engineering majors.  Today, that number is over 3000 students (unduplicated annual headcount).
