Hello Miller Families,

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation and great experiences with families and friends. On behalf of the Miller Intermediate staff I am happy to welcome you to the 2022 – 2023 school year. I am also delighted that you are part of our amazing Miller Maverick community and I look forward to a productive partnership, working with you and your children to ensure they achieve success.

Our highly motivated and dedicated staff have been working during the summer in planning sessions, attending professional development, preparing lessons and getting their classrooms ready to provide incredible learning experiences for students. As you enter the building you’ll notice a beautiful change in décor. The building was outfitted with new carpet this summer. So please encourage your child to help us take good care of our new carpet and keep it as clean as possible.  

As a reminder, all students are required to be in uniform (dress code) daily; click here to access Miller’s dress code. Safety during car rider dismissal is integral. We are kindly asking parents and guardians of our car rider students to please stay in your cars and remain in the car rider line during the dismissal procedure. We assure you that car rider dismissal will move much faster if everyone works together and follow the dismissal procedures we have in place. We ask for your patience as we proceed with car rider dismissal during these first few days of school. The first week is usually very busy, but it does get better as our students learn the dismissal procedures.

Please take time to prepare your child for school to meet our Maverick expectations, so they will be ready to learn. Our website is updated with very important beginning of school information such as school hours, school supply lists and dress code requirements so please check frequently. The following are a few dates to remember.

Thursday, August 4^th - Meet the Teacher from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Monday, August 8^th – First Day of School
