This is my third year as Assistant Principal at Best, and I’ve been “Alief Proud” for 19 plus years! I started my career in education at Mahanay Elementary.  I had the wonderful opportunity to teach 2nd through 4th grade. I learned a great deal about impactful instruction and building meaningful relationships with students and teachers. In 2014, I transferred to Best to become the REID Specialist. During my 4 years as the REID Specialist, I collaborated with content specialists, interventionists, and administrators in creating success plans for students in grades pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. My time as the REID Specialist taught me the importance of collaboration with various stake-holders to achieve a common goal, student achievement.  Now, as an administrator, I am using all of the skills that I have acquired as a teacher and an instructional campus leader to create a learning environment in which students and teachers can reach their full potential. I am looking forward to a great year!
