Chambers Elementary understands the importance of promoting college education among our students. This school year, we have provided ample opportunities to our students to be educated about how critical it is to start thinking about college education. Students have been motivated to pursue a college career during this school year by participating in the following events/activities: Career Day, Wear a College Shirt on Wednesdays, College Week, Degrees of Success College bulletin boards, Dare to Dream visit to the University of Houston, Character Traits lessons, Career Week Bingo, Chambers Elementary College Presentations, counselor’s visits to classrooms, Communities in Schools promoting college education among parents, A/B Honor Roll, After School Clubs, Learning Together, Berry Lane, The Mentor Program, The Kindness Club, and the STEM Night.
We also had the opportunity to have other student centered enrichment opportunities provided by business partners like Brighter Bites, Community Readers, Career Day speakers. STEM night, Corner Bakery, The Alley Theater, HEB, and REALM Real Estate Professionals.
