Ms. Cynthia Otagan Ramos, MLS

Mabuhay! My name is Cynthia Ramos. I was born and raised in the Philippines where I started my teaching career. I received my bachelor's degree in Arts and Education from the Philippine Normal University and my master's degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas.  I have been working in education for more than 20 years. I have served as an English teacher and as a middle school and early college high school librarian.

My passion is to plan, host, and coordinate learning and reading enrichment activities for students that push them to stretch their imagination and practice their creativity. I love stories in any form, whether they’re in books, movies, plays, or musicals! I also love traveling and visiting new places. But the time I most treasure is the moments I spend with my family.

Ms. Rosalie Morales

Born in South Vietnam, Rosalie Vo Morales braved the high seas with her family to seek freedom from the communist regime that took over her homeland. Once established in the United States, Rosalie began working for Chevron Oil Company in the computer operations department. As her career furthered, she decided that she wanted to be closer to her children since they both attended Alief schools. It was then that she chose to embark upon a new journey with Alief ISD in 1999. Throughout her seventeen-year career with five different schools, she has developed a wide array of professional relationships. Rosalie has always had a passion for books and enjoys helping students pursue their own interest in reading. She has two wonderful children—her son, Frank (a UH alumnus) and daughter, Alexandra (currently pursuing her BA). In her free time, Rosalie enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking.
