Degrees and Certifications:
Greetings, Mighty Rams!
My name is Dawn Henry Lewis, and I am the Assistant Principal of Accountability. My role as APA is to ensure that students are in attendance daily and on track to graduate. This is my 12th year at Elsik High School, and I have 16 years of service in education. I began my teaching career in Louisiana where I taught 2nd, then 5th grade self-contained classes. While at Elsik, I taught Life Skills, was an ARD Facilitator and Special Education Department Chair. I also serve on various campus and district-wide committees.
I am a graduate of Nicholls State University where I obtained an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. I obtained my Master of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University Texas. I also completed the Region 4 Aspiring Superintendent and Leadership Academy.
It gives me great pleasure to work in such a diverse environment where all members support teaching and learning; contribute to the growth and excellence of our school community; and build meaningful relationships. I look forward to serving our students, staff and the Alief community this school year.
