Communities in Schools (CIS) is a dropout prevention program. Its focus is to help keep kids in school by attempting to meet the needs of the children and their families. CIS provides enrichment activities for kids such as academics, character building and arts and crafts. It also helps the parents of those students by providing assistance to families whether it be rent/utility assistance or help finding resources for their basic needs.
CIS also helps families at Bush by holding annual food drives and toy drives. The donations go straight back to the families in the Bush community that need them most.
