Hi, my name is Karina Rivera,

I just joined the Taylor Family and I am excited to serve as your child’s school counselor. I have been in education for 12 years and this is my 7^th year as a school counselor. I am here to assist and make sure every student is in the correct path towards graduation while supporting their social-emotional well-being.

Hello! My name is Catherine Massey.

After graduating from Queen’s University in Northern Ireland, I moved to Houston in 1993. I taught ESL at Alief for 20 years and enjoyed every aspect of working with students from different backgrounds and cultures. The change to a counseling role was a natural transition given my passion to support students both academically and emotionally. I enjoy guiding students through the process of choosing an endorsement pathway that will meet their college or career goals as well as developing a credit plan to attain graduation requirements.
