Summer Nutrition Information

  • This summer, Alief ISD will operate the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Texas law (Agriculture Code, Title-2, Chapter 12, Section 12.0029) allows the district to serve two (2) free meals per day. Alief campuses will serve free breakfast and lunch during summer programming. This law states that eligible districts must serve free meals for at least 30 days. Alief ISD will go above and beyond the minimum requirement to meet the needs of our students, staff, and community members. The SFSP will operate for the duration of regular summer school and will continue through many of our extended programs and camps that go beyond the end of June.

    Eligible participants include:

    • Alief enrolled summer school students
    • Student workers
    • Teacher’s/staff children
    • Any community child 18 or younger (and 19 or older if physically or mentally disabled)
