Ms. Yaquanda Williams, M.A. Ed., M.S., RAA, LAT, ATC
Ms. Williams started her educational pursuits at Tennessee State University (TSU) where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. During her undergraduate years, she had great exposure to several sports and invaluable mentors that sparked her love for athletic training. She returned to her alma mater and obtained her Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Administration. She later went on to pursue a second Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) where she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training. To help continue and build her knowledge within the profession, she completed an Athletic Training Residency program at Houston Methodist Hospital Sugarland where she trained in orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. As a resident, she was able to advance her knowledge through both clinical and didactic educational settings that enhanced her skills in becoming a balanced athletic training practitioner. The gift of acceptance into the Alief Taylor High School Family is one that she can continue to give back to others in both practice and charity. After all, her exposure began via mentorship and is now how she chooses to pay it forward.
