I am a 24 year Veteran of the US Navy and I glad to be here at Taylor HS in the NJROTC Dept. I am also Asst. Girls Track Coach for the Taylor Lady Lions Track Team.

Chief Johnson is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. He entered the United States Navy in June of 1997, and retired in June 2017. He moved to Houston, Texas after retiring, where his children already resided. He began teaching NJROTC at Booker T Washington High School during the 2017-2018 school year.  He married Tragil Wade Johnson in March 2020. He has two children who attend Texas State University and Lonestar North College. He started working as an instructor here in Alief at Doc Edward Taylor High School in the 2022-2023 school year. He is very happy to be a part of the Alief team.
