    The Alief Boy's Club

The Alief ISD prides itself on stepping outside of the box and doing whatever it takes to change young lives. Our district has always led the way when it comes to innovation, as our "Success Initiative" supports Meaningful Relationships and Meaningful Work as equally important in developing the leaders of tomorrow. Established in 2010, through our Boys Clubs, elementary and many secondary aged boys are exposed to cultural events, provided direct mentoring and partnerships, given an opportunity to learn leadership skills and practice social etiquettes, and so much more.

Under the leadership of devoted volunteers from their campus, these clubs provide an environment for us to influence young men while contributing to their social and emotional development. Although the elementary levels focus primarily on character building, at both levels there is a focus on service. Members are involved in both community and district level opportunities to give back. The clubs meet regularly throughout the year for lessons and conversations, and they are exposed to a number of cultural and esteem building experiences, including but not limited to:

    • Campus field trips
    • Annual District-Wide field trip
    • The Annual Ditrict-Wide Boy's Conference
    • Presentations from nationally recognized guest speakers
    • A host of various campus based activities
