Prevention Program Coordinators’ Initiative Mission Statement
The mission of the Prevention Program Coordinators’ Initiative is to create an environment where students can learn and where teachers can enjoy the art of teaching. This mission includes providing quality programs for students that prevent high risk behaviors such as bullying, TAOD (tobacco, alcohol and other drugs), gangs, dating violence, and sexual activity. This mission is accomplished by utilizing research based strategies that promote social emotional learning, strong school connections, meaningful relationships, positive behavior support, resiliency, cultural awareness, safety, and leadership.
The PPC Initiative supports Goal 3 of the District Improvement Plan:
