Horn Elementary provided students with multiple opportunities to participate in STEM activities. Horn’s 4th grade STEM academy hosted 2 PBL showcases in which students presented their research, writing samples and products to staff, students, parents and other members of the district. Students went on a field trip to HCC- UT Tyler as well as Alief Early college to experience a real world view of how STEM education ties into career and college opportunities. All 4th grade STEM academy students went to NASA Houston Space center and learned about how space exploration helps our everyday world. The campus hosted an Academic Game night with fun engaging STEM activities for students and their families.
