Middle School Assistant Principal Darrence Phillips Headshot
  • Middle School Assistant Principal

As the Assistant Principal of the Alief Learning Center, I enjoy working with all students and staff within the District. I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University and my Master of Education at Concordia University.

I began my teaching career at Harris County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). While working with the students at the JJAEP, I learned how to work effectively with students displaying behavior issues and coach others on strategies to overcome adversities in the classroom. I began working in Alief ISD in 2013 at the Alief Learning Center as a Middle School Science Teacher. I was promoted to Instructional Technology Specialist in 2018, serving for four years, and in August of 2022, I became ALC Middle School Assistant Principal.

I am proud and honored to be one of the educational leaders within the Alief Independent School District. I will continue to promote the mission of Alief ISD through my passion and actions in working with at-risk youth. Should you need any assistance, Don't hesitate to contact me.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Darrence Phillips
