Ms. C. Johnson
After graduating from Macarthur Senior High School in Aldine ISD in 1988, Mrs. Johnson received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1991. She then went to Texas Southern University to pursue her teacher’s certification in the area of special education. After completing her certification, she received a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling at Texas Southern University in 1996. In 2002, she also received a Texas Education Principal Certification from the University of Houston –Victoria. Currently, she is working on her doctorate in the area of general psychology and has completed all but her dissertation. Mrs. Johnson worked in Houston ISD for five years as a teacher and department chairperson in the area of elementary special education. She has been in Alief ISD as a school counselor for over 21 years working at Bush Elementary, Best Elementary and Landis Elementary.
My mission is to provide a comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate program to address students' academic, and career readiness goals in addition to supporting their physical, emotional and social needs. I desire to partnership with parents/guardians, staff, and community members to equip all students to become successful, productive citizens and lifelong learners.
My vision is to empower all students to reach their maximum potential by using a comprehensive program that addresses academic, personal/social, physical, and career goals. Our comprehensive program will encourage personal inquiry and growth, social responsibility, and academic excellence.

Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Bean graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Sociology and a minor in English. She also received her School Counseling Degree from Prairie View A&M University. She has been in education for 17 years and cannot see herself in another field! Before becoming a School Counselor, Ms. Bean taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Fourth Grade. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Fountain of Praise.

Mission: To enable students to recognize their social and emotions needs, teach them coping skills to deal with day to day trials, and encourage them to reach for the goals.
