Library Services

The Library Resource Centers of Alief ISD are dedicated to providing quality, balanced collections and access to information in all formats to our students and community members. From picture books to e-books, Alief libraries support the instructional program, provide enrichment opportunities, teach information literacy and guide our students and staff to become effective users of information.

Sharing Books the 21st Century Way!

Mahanay 3rd grader sharing his book on volcanoes in the "Library Commons" using a document camera. Rather than standing in front of a group of peers, holding up their books, these students were very excited about using this piece of technology to make their books more accessible to a group. One student stated: "Using the document camera makes it seem more real!"
